- Ultimate Rare — A classic premium treatment with embossed, textured foiling on the card's artwork. Ultimate Rares have been part of Yu-Gi-Oh! for decades and remain highly collectible.

- Chase the highest rarity you can afford — Within any set, the rarest treatment of a desirable card will hold value best. A Starlight Rare or QCSR of a popular card is a stronger collect than a Secret Rare of the same card.
- Buy sealed product from sets with strong collector content — Not every set is created equal for collectors. Sets with high concentrations of QCSRs, Collector's Rares, or Starlight Rares offer the best opening experience and the strongest pull value.
