ONE PIECE Card Game news | 24 September 2026
Bandai has announced a change to the ONE PIECE CARD GAME Banned/Restricted Card List. From 12 October 2026, OP14-020 Dracule Mihawk is banned, including parallel and alternate-art versions. Banned cards cannot be included in a deck.
Why is Mihawk being banned?
According to the ONE PIECE CARD GAME development team, newer booster releases have made combinations involving this Leader stronger than anticipated. The team also says the card limits the viability of other Leaders with the {Slash} attribute, narrowing the range of competitive decks now and potentially in future releases.
The team says it monitors tournament results, win rates, usage and the impact on other Leaders when reviewing the list. Restrictions can also be lifted if the game environment changes.
A replacement Leader is planned
Following the ban, a new Leader with updated text, P-163 Dracule Mihawk, is planned for distribution at future events. No specific event or distribution date was given in the announcement.
Deck-building takeaway: if you play OP14-020 Dracule Mihawk, plan a different legal Leader for events from 12 October. Keep an eye out for details on the P-163 replacement.
