MTG Marvel: Darkhold Destiny Arrives April 2027. Get Your Wishlist Ready

Hela in the Magic: The Gathering Marvel Darkhold Destiny set announcement artwork.

Something dark is coming to the Multiverse, and Marvel’s heroes and villains are about to find themselves on opposite sides of a supernatural war.

Magic: The Gathering | Marvel: Darkhold Destiny is scheduled to release on 9 April 2027, bringing an all-new Marvel story to Magic. Expect powerful sorcery, monstrous alliances, dimension-crossing chaos, and some seriously eye-catching cards.

At Knightly Gaming, we’re still waiting for our allocations to be confirmed. For now, you can add your favourites to your wishlist while we wait for clarity on the quantities we’ll receive. A wishlist is a way to keep track of what you’re interested in, not a reservation or a confirmed preorder.

A Darkhold disaster across dimensions

When Dormammu and Hela use a page from the Darkhold to tear down the barriers between realities, the consequences are anything but subtle. Arcane nightmares spill across the Multiverse, drawing Marvel’s Super Heroes and Villains into a conflict where mystical power could decide everything.

This isn’t simply a collection of familiar faces on Magic cards. Darkhold Destiny tells a brand-new Marvel story created with Magic: The Gathering, with cards that bring its characters, clashes, and supernatural stakes to the battlefield.

If your favourite corner of Marvel involves dangerous magic and spectacularly bad decisions with ancient artefacts, this one deserves a spot on your radar.

Pick your way into the chaos

Whether you’re planning a draft with friends, building your next Commander deck, or hunting for standout cards for your collection, the announced range offers plenty to explore.

Booster Packs are designed for Limited play and discovering the set, making them a natural starting point for players who want to crack packs, draft, and experiment with new cards.

Commander Decks bring Marvel’s might and monstrosity to multiplayer Magic. For players who prefer their battles with a little extra shine, Collector’s Edition Commander Decks feature 100-card decks in Surge Foil.

Draft Night puts a four-player Pick-Two draft into one box, with a Collector Booster included as a prize for the winner. That’s a very good reason to make your next game night a little more competitive.

The Bundle includes nine Booster Packs, a mechanically unique Mythic Rare promo card, five full-art Strange Places basic lands, an oversized Spindown die, and more. It’s an appealing option for players who enjoy a mix of packs, accessories, and something special for the collection.

For collectors with an eye for the mystical

Collector Boosters lean into the set’s premium side, with rares, mythics, Traditional Foils, source material cards, silver foil cards, and monstrous team-ups in Midnight Raised Foil treatments.

The Arcanum Bundle takes the gift-box approach, combining eight Booster Packs with a Collector Booster, Full-Art Bifrost lands, Arcanum promo cards featuring exclusive art, a mechanically unique Mythic Rare promo card, a Spindown die, and more.

Then there’s the Assault on Asgard Scene Box. Its six Borderless Scene cards come together to depict the story’s epic conclusion, giving you something to play with and display.

For Marvel fans who enjoy seeing a bigger piece of artwork unfold across multiple cards, this is one to watch.
